Do you love working with children? Are you an active and outdoorsy person? Do you thrive in rural life, or maybe just want to experience what it’s like living on a farm for a few months?

Make a positive impact on the lives of a Kiwi family and live in absolute paradise as an au pair over New Zealand’s winter calving season. Dairy farms in NZ get very busy from July, and our farming families need an extra pair of hands to help out with the childcare, whilst the parents are required to work on the farm. You’ll find yourself in the beautiful New Zealand countryside, getting stuck in to farm and family life!

Our host families love sharing their culture and hope you will bring friendliness, energy and a willingness to be involved with their unique and loving Kiwi family. The families are looking for someone who’s friendly, enthusiastic, outgoing and above all: loves to work with children!

The typical daily duties include contributing to the children’s development and love for life, completing educational activities for them, playing with them and caring for them, taking them out on the farm, and helping with the day care and school drop offs and pick ups. You will be occasionally required to help with the families evening meal preparation and do some child-related light house work. Don’t worry, no farm work required – unless you want to! Ever wanted to learn how to milk a cow?! ?

You’ll have your own furnished bedroom, with internet access, access to a car for personal use and full board included. If you’re an energetic, mature individual with a love for life and children then apply today!

Recent au pair candidate feedback:

“Throughout the process of becoming an au pair, Cherilynn consistently provided the best guidance I could have asked for. Not only did she help with the process and make sure I found a suitable family, she would regularly check in via text to see how I was doing, and even now that I am with my host family she still goes the extra mile to reassure me and give extra tips. I am so, so appreciative for all her help and determination as the au pair experience is such an exciting and rewarding job!!” – Jessica-Rose
