Design Engineer –New Zealand Engineering Division
Our Engineering client provides specialist expertise in industrial / construction / mechanical design, manufacture, on site installation and maintenance.
Design Engineer who has strong engineering and design capability, specifically:
Designs focused on process optimization
Conveyor systems for varying products/environments
Safety guarding systems design
Design of Heavy Machinery
Designs for hygienic environments
Strong ideas for custom equipment development
Research into design elements for ergonomics, weight reduction, ease of use, manufacturability, cost reduction, and reliability
Production of maintenance manuals and documentation for designed parts and systems
This is a hands-on role and the successful applicant will have proven experience in the following:
Proven ability to build very good working relationships with colleagues
Minimum three years’ 3D modelling experience, SolidWorks preferred
Drawings issued for client review/tender/construction
Fabrication methodology to maximize manufacturability
You will also have:
A high level of Microsoft Word and Excel skills
3-5 years’ experience in a similar position
A highly developed attention to detail
