We are a little earth loving family who share a small off grid farm with another family.

We are looking especially for people who really love hanging out and having fun with kids, perhaps with nannying experience. We unschool our kids (home education without curriculum) and they love adventures. Our goal is to raise kids with respect and dignity and we love it when our Helpxrs also treat our kids as they would adults they like! We love finding people who just love doing missions taking care of our kids for a couple of mornings a week while we work.

This could suit a couple too.

We have a little retro caravan with an outdoor shower to share with you, and access to an extra little yurt when it is not taken with Airbnb.

We have cows, goats, ducks and chickens and are at the base of Karangahake Mountain- our back gate opens on to conservation land, many waterfalls and bush walks.

We have a lovely swimming hole on our land too- it is a beautiful place to stay!

We will provide two meals a day for 4 hours of work. (We can talk more about this – whether you’d rather breakfast + lunch or breakfast + dinner, and breakfast will be more like us provide you with what you like to eat for breakfast! so you can wake up at leisure.)

People will need to:

Love sustainable living
It might be useful to have your own transport.
